Adele is reportedly wanted by Eon Productions to record her second James Bond theme song.
The singer-songwriter is said to be top of studio bosses' lists to produce the theme for the 24th instalment of the spy franchise, following her 'Skyfall' success.
"Producers are thrilled by how well the song has been received and hope Adele's presence on the next film will replicate that success," a source told The Sun.
"They want her to become as synonymous with Bond as Dame Shirley."
'Skyfall' became the first Bond theme to win the Academy Award for 'Best Original Song' last weekend, while it also won Adele a Brit Award and a Golden Globe Award.
Dame Shirley Bassey has performed the most Bond themes so far with 'Goldfinger', 'Diamonds Are Forever' and 'Moonraker'.
Adele is currently the subject of a supposed bidding war between TV networks over a possible documentary about her.
